Biography
Dr. Selva Korkmazcan Işık advises on competition law, international commercial law, international arbitration, and private international law. She began her career as an Associate at Ernst & Young (EY Law) in Tbilisi, Georgia, before serving as Legal Counsel in the Foreign Operations Department of Ziraat Bank. She holds an LLB from Ankara University, an LLM in Public Law from Gazi University, a D.E.A. in International Law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, and a PhD in Law (summa cum laude) from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. Her doctoral research and subsequent publications examine the enforcement of competition-law commitments through arbitration. She is fluent in English, with working French and basic German.
